Every SSS contribution payment starts with a payment reference number (PRN). You generate it in your My.SSS account or the MySSS mobile app, pay through a channel SSS accepts, then check that the payment has posted to your record. SSS’s Pay Contributions page says the PRN is mandatory “through any payment channel”.
Getting your PRN
A PRN is the number SSS creates for a payment. It shows the amount, the months covered and the due date. You need a My.SSS account first.
In My.SSS, on the SSS website (SSS OFW members page and the 2026 Citizen’s Charter):
- Log in to My.SSS. SSS asks for a one-time PIN by SMS, or a code from an authenticator app.
- Open the Payment Reference Number (PRN) tab and choose Contributions.
- Fill in your membership type, the months you are paying for and the contribution amount. If you also save in the voluntary Pension Booster, enter that amount too (at least PHP 500).
- Click Generate PRN and check the details.
- Click PDF to download it and pay at a collecting partner, or Pay to pay online straight away through Billeroo.
In the MySSS mobile app (Citizen’s Charter): log in, tap PRN, then Contributions, then Create. Fill in the membership type, months and amount, tap Generate PRN, then download the PRN and statement of account.
SSS also lists three other ways to get a PRN: email to usssaptayo@sss.gov.ph, the SSS hotline 1455, or asking at a collecting partner that accepts PRN payments, with a valid ID.
The membership type you choose when generating the PRN matters. Choosing “Voluntary Member” or “Overseas Filipino Worker” changes your membership to that type once you pay. See voluntary SSS contributions and how land-based OFWs pay SSS.
Paying online
SSS publishes two lists, and they do not match. Both are shown here in SSS’s own order, with their dates. Neither is ranked, and we do not recommend any channel.
SSS Payment Channels page, list as of 5 December 2024 (individual members):
- Inside My.SSS on the SSS website: Billeroo. SSS says additional charges may apply, and the paid contribution posts in real time.
- MySSS mobile app: GCash, Maya, BPI, credit or debit card.
- Other mobile apps: GCash, Maya, ShopeePay, PayRemit.
- Partner banks’ websites: Land Bank of the Philippines (Link.BizPortal), Robinsons Bank, Security Bank (SBOL), Union Bank of the Philippines.
- Partner banks’ mobile apps: Robinsons Bank, Security Bank (SBOL), Union Bank of the Philippines.
- Non-bank partners’ websites and apps: AltPayNet, Bayad Center; MYEG (website).
SSS Circular 2025-010, accredited collecting partners for 22 August 2025 to 31 December 2026. It covers banks and remittance companies only, and says SSS “shall only accept payments from SSS-accredited banks and RTCs through the following channels”:
- Collecting partners’ websites: AltPayNet, Bank of the Philippine Islands, CIS Bayad Center, Land Bank of the Philippines, MYEG Philippines, Security Bank, Union Bank of the Philippines.
- Collecting partners’ mobile apps: AltPayNet, CIS Bayad Center, Security Bank, Union Bank of the Philippines, Ventaja International.
- SSS mobile app: Maya Philippines. SSS website: AltPayNet.
- BancNet: 16 banks, listed in the circular.
The 2026 Citizen’s Charter repeats the circular’s list and adds that “accredited payment channels may change without further notice”. Check the SSS payment channels page on the day you pay.
Paying from abroad
Land-based OFWs can pay “anytime during the applicable year”, generating the PRN in My.SSS and paying through an SSS-accredited channel (SSS Pay Contributions page). Online channels work from anywhere. For paying in person abroad, SSS lists:
- Partner banks abroad, over the counter (channels page, 5 December 2024): Asia United Bank, Bank of Commerce, Philippine National Bank.
- Non-bank partners abroad, over the counter: Pinoy Express Hatid Padala Services and Ventaja International. Both are also on Circular 2025-010’s over-the-counter list.
The channels page also lists mobile apps for OFW members, which work from abroad: AltPayNet, Bayad Center, GCash, Maya, PayRemit, Rewire, Robinsons Bank, Security Bank (SBOL), ShopeePay and Union Bank.
Fees vary by channel, so check with the channel before you pay. Sea-based OFWs do not pay themselves: their manning agency remits the contributions. Deadlines for each member type are in SSS payment deadlines. How to move money home in general is in sending money home.
Checking that it posted
Log in to My.SSS and look at your contributions. Payments made inside My.SSS through Billeroo post in real time, and SSS’s Citizen’s Charter says payments at SSS branch tellers post within 1 day. Our guide to checking your posted contributions shows where to look.
If a payment does not appear, the only procedure SSS publishes is a request for correction or posting of contributions at an SSS branch or foreign office (2026 Citizen’s Charter). Bring:
- the request or verification form, which is on the SSS website
- the data privacy notice and consent
- proof of payment, one certified true copy and one photocopy: the validated contribution payment return (SS Form RS-5), the RS-5 with a special bank receipt, or the official receipt showing your PRN
- a valid ID
Keep every PRN and receipt until the payment shows in My.SSS. Back to the SSS guide for OFWs.

How can I get my PRN number in SSS?
Log in to My.SSS, open the Payment Reference Number (PRN) tab and choose Contributions, fill in your membership type, the months and the amount, then click Generate PRN. In the MySSS mobile app, tap PRN, then Contributions, then Create. SSS also lists email to usssaptayo@sss.gov.ph, the SSS hotline 1455, and some collecting partners as ways to get one.
What is PRN in SSS?
A payment reference number: the number SSS generates for each contribution payment, showing the amount, the months it covers and the due date. SSS requires it for paying contributions through any channel.
Can I pay SSS online without a PRN?
No. SSS's Pay Contributions page states the 'mandatory use of Payment Reference Number (PRN) in the payment of contributions through any payment channel.' Generate the PRN first, then pay.
Can I pay my SSS contribution through GCash?
GCash is on SSS's payment channels page (list as of 5 December 2024), both as a mobile app channel and inside the MySSS app. It is not on the newer accredited list in SSS Circular 2025-010, which covers banks and remittance companies. Check SSS's channels page on the day you pay, since SSS says accredited channels may change without notice.
Where can I pay my SSS contribution?
At SSS branches with tellering counters, SSS-accredited banks over the counter or through their websites and apps, SSS's non-bank collecting partners, the MySSS mobile app, or inside My.SSS through Billeroo. OFWs can also pay through SSS's partner banks and remittance companies abroad. SSS's own lists are linked on this page.
