The official address
Virtual Pag-IBIG: pagibigfundservices.com/virtualpagibig. This link goes to Pag-IBIG’s own site. pagibigfund.gov.ph links to this address, and there is also a Virtual Pag-IBIG app for Android and iPhone.
Virtual Pag-IBIG is Pag-IBIG Fund’s online service site. Its FAQ calls it Pag-IBIG’s “online service facility that allows you to safely and conveniently access Pag-IBIG Fund’s services anytime, anywhere using just your smartphone or computer”. You can register, pay, open MP2, apply for loans, file claims and chat with Pag-IBIG staff. Some services need an account; many do not.
This page explains how it works. It doesn’t log you in or ask for your details: type them on Pag-IBIG’s own site only.
Creating an account
You need your Pag-IBIG MID number first. If you don’t have it, see how to find your Pag-IBIG MID number.
The Virtual Pag-IBIG FAQ lists three ways to create an account:
- With your Loyalty Card Plus: you enter your MID number, the card’s issuing bank and the last four digits of the card number, and Pag-IBIG emails a temporary password.
- Online activation: you enter your details and mobile number, confirm a one-time PIN, and upload your ID.
- Account creation for OFWs: a separate sign-up for members working abroad, linked from Pag-IBIG’s OFW page.
The OFW sign-up, step by step, as the FAQ describes it:
- Enter your MID number, complete name, date of birth and Philippine mobile number.
- Enter the one-time PIN sent to that phone.
- Add your country of assignment, email address, three security questions, mother’s maiden name and place of birth.
- Upload a photo of your passport, or of two valid primary IDs.
- Upload a selfie holding the passport or IDs you sent.
- Wait for a text message over the next few days saying your account is active.
Change the temporary password as soon as you log in; the FAQ asks you to do this “for your security”.
What you can do in it
The Virtual Pag-IBIG FAQ lists these services. It says many of Pag-IBIG’s services work even without an account, and names the account-only ones separately (below).
- register as a member and get your MID number;
- open an MP2 account and save in it (MP2 savings explained);
- apply for a Multi-Purpose Loan or a Calamity Loan, start a housing loan application, or apply for a Home Equity Appreciation Loan;
- check the status of a loan application;
- top up your Regular Savings and pay your loans (how to pay Pag-IBIG online);
- apply to reprice your housing loan rate;
- claim your savings at membership maturity, on optional withdrawal, at retirement at 65, or when MP2 matures;
- chat with a Lingkod Pag-IBIG officer, 24/7.
With an account you can also see your Regular Savings and yearly dividends, your MP2 savings, your loan records, and the balance of a Loyalty Card Plus issued by Asia United Bank. For what you pay each month, see Pag-IBIG contributions.
Using it from abroad
- You need a Philippine mobile number for the OFW sign-up, because the one-time PIN and the activation message go to it. Keep a Philippine SIM active, or ask a Pag-IBIG overseas channel what to do.
- Call-back for OFWs. Pag-IBIG’s OFW page says you can create your account and “request a call back - especially designed for our OFWs, so you can get assistance wherever you are in the world.”
- Help by email: OFW OwnLINE, ofw_ownline@pagibigfund.gov.ph, or the Contact Center at contactus@pagibigfund.gov.ph.
Common problems
- Forgotten password. The FAQ says the three security questions you set up are there to help you get your password back. Pag-IBIG doesn’t publish more detailed steps, so contact Pag-IBIG if they don’t work.
- Locked account. Pag-IBIG doesn’t publish steps for this. Contact the Contact Center, (02) 8724-4244 (+63 2 8724 4244 from abroad, 24/7), or contactus@pagibigfund.gov.ph.
- Records that don’t match, or two MID numbers. Pag-IBIG merges duplicate records at a branch; see how to find your Pag-IBIG MID number.
Staying safe
- Type the address yourself, or use the link on pagibigfund.gov.ph. Pag-IBIG’s online services sit on pagibigfundservices.com.
- Never share your password or the one-time PIN Pag-IBIG texts you, with anyone, including people who say they work for Pag-IBIG.
- Be wary of pages, messages or “fixers” offering to log in for you or speed things up for a fee. Pag-IBIG’s help channels are listed on its own site.
- Check the address bar before you type anything. A page that only looks like Pag-IBIG’s, on another address, is not Pag-IBIG.
The rest of Pag-IBIG is on our Pag-IBIG guide for OFWs.
